italia tres, murano…

the next day we headed to murano
murano is known for all the beautiful glass made there
it’s a small island across from venice
we took a boat over
and we ate lunch right away
pasta… again
pasta is just so yummy in italy
so is the coffee
we walked around admired all the little glass shops
i bought a glass plate for my jewelry and pretty silver earrings
zia bought pretty earrings and a matching necklace
we waited till 4pm then went to glass blowing demonstration
we sat through a 20 minute movie first on the history of murano
we were tired from walking all day
i nearly fell asleep
mom legit fell asleep
zia was too busy taking pictures to fall asleep
she loves taking pics
we then got to see the real deal glass making
the baby started to fuss so jenny missed most of it
rocking him in the stroller
but they asked for volunteers to blow glass
we volunteered jenny
because she missed most of the demonstration
i held valentino up high to watch his mom
the guy noticed him (intentionally i did that *wink wink*)
and he asked his name, is said “valentino!”
the man nearly fell over
“VALENTINO” ohhhhhh
and turned around a grabbed a red glass horse and gave it as a gift to valentino
my plan worked! valentino got a special glass gift
with our glass horse in hand we went back to boat landing and headed to burano
